GTR Manage Services: Explicit Permissioning Overview
As part of self-service onboarding, Explicit Permissions provide clients with direct ownership and control over permissions that are in place between the submitting entity and the reporting counterparty for all submissions. Explicit Permissioning therefore introduces greater control for clients in terms of who they can report for and who can report on their behalf.
When a permission is not in place, the TR will reject the submission. If you are submitting trade data for another party, regardless of whether the entity is part of the same organization, you must have the required permissions in place at a unique Submitting Entity LEI to Reporting Counterparty LEI level. This permissioning mechanism replaces all previous forms of permission, such as Third Party and Fund permissions. View the FAQ section for more information.

- To submit trade data for another party, you must have the required permissions at a unique Submitting Entity LEI to a Reporting Counterparty LEI level.
- If you do not have explicit permissions in place, you cannot report for the given LEI because the TR is required to reject the submission.
The following parties can upload permissions:
- Submitting Entities (Third party Submitters, Counterparties, and so on)
- Reporting Counterparties
- Investment Managers
You must add reporting permissions (where necessary) to all onboarded LEIs. When submitting trade data for another party, you must have the required permissions in place. This requirement includes situations where the other party is within your organization family setup on the GTR.
Key Points:
- You can view reporting permissions from the My LEIs and the LEIs I Report For tabs within Manage LEIs.
- You can view the existing reporting permissions by clicking into an individual LEI and viewing the information from the individual LEI panel.
- There may be more data available than can be displayed. The maximum view limit is set to the most recent 4,000 rows. If you do not see expected data, refine your search further to access the data for which you are searching.
- The Export
option enables download of the permissions from your current view/search results
- If you have multiple reporting permissions to upload at one time, you can use the Bulk Upload via CSV functionality.
- The Download Template CSV file option enables a download of the template file for use when uploading your reporting permissions.
